We are excited to announce our esports partner, PlayVS, has officially launched Middle School Esports. The platform for registration went live on April 15, 2024.
We are in the beginning stages of the development of a Middle School Esports League with the PA Principals Association starting this Fall 2024! We have had a successful Spring season and aim to continue to grow where students have the opportunity to compete for a PA Principals Association State Championship across a number of game titles.
Right now, NBA2K and Rocket League (ages 13+) are available. Over the next month or two, PlayVS will be announcing a number of other popular game titles – all rated E for Everyone. Middle school leagues will be centered around team play, with the ultimate goal focused on student participation and growth.
There is no better time to consider the opportunity for your school and students. If you are interested and want to learn more, please fill out the Middle School Esports Survey below. Completing this survey in no way commits your school for the Fall season, but rather allows us to get in touch and provide you with more information. Please do consider participating in our survey even if you are a “maybe” at this point.

New Partnership for Esports
We are proud to announce a partnership with PlayVS to bring esports to Pennsylvania! Thousands of high schools across the country are reaching a brand new student body by offering esports and unlocking many student benefits along the way.
PlayVS is our official high school esports partner. They offer the most popular, team-based titles including Super Smash Bros Ultimate, Rocket League, Valorant and more. Our partnership will create dedicated esports leagues in Pennsylvania to give students a new avenue for school engagement, social development and extracurricular activity.
“The Pennsylvania Principals Association is looking forward to our new partnership with PlayVS, as we seek to unlock the amazing benefits that an esports program can bring to our schools,” said Dr. Eric Eshbach, PA Principals Association Executive Director. “Esports is one of the fastest growing activities across the United States and provides students valuable life skills such as leadership, socialization and teamwork that they can take with them beyond high school.”
PlayVS offers free esports competition for those participating. PlayVS also has the ability, through their game partnerships, to offer free game codes in certain titles for schools that need help in starting a program.
