Professional Development Calendar

The PA Principals Association has developed a Professional Development Calendar with new professional learning offerings for members. There is no cost associated with the Power Hour sessions, but registration is required to have access to the Zoom webinars.

This is a great opportunity to network and share with other principals and school leaders!

  • Collaborative Planning for Teacher Appreciation Week

    • Presenters: Regional Service Specialists (RSS)
    • Session Description: May 6, 2025, is Teacher Appreciation Day! Join us for a networking hour designed to share ideas for planning a memorable teacher appreciation week. Show your staff how much you appreciate their hard work and dedication by engaging in a brainstorming session of activities.

  • 3/24/2025 at 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM – POWER HOUR
  • A Conversation with Gary Patterson, Uvalde, Texas, Superintendent, who Navigated a District Following a Tragic School Shooting
    • Presenter: Carl Patterson, former superintendent, Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District in Texas (Special guest: Shawn Fitzpatrick, superintendent, Schuylkill Haven School District)
    • Session Description: This session will provide perspectives on safe schools presented by Gary Patterson who was the Superintendent of Uvalde Consolidated Independent School District in Texas. Following the tragic shooting that took place there, he was significantly involved in recovery operations. Also, Dr. Shawn Fitzpatrick, Superintendent of Schuylkill Haven School District will join as a guest.
