Pennsylvania State Board of Education chairman Joseph Torsella has resigned to become the U.S. Representative for United Nations Management and Reform. Gov. Corbett has named Larry Wittig, of Tamaqua, Schuylkill County, as the new chairman.
Mr. Torsella was nominated by President Obama for this position and recently confirmed by the U.S. Senate to the post.
