The next Principal Induction Program begins this summer!

New administrators in Pennsylvania are required to complete a PDE-approved Principal Induction Program within five years of becoming a building principal or assistant principal in order to be eligible for the Level 2 Administrative Certificate.

Program Details & Requirements:
- The program is one year in length beginning with the July/August in-person session; followed by monthly virtual courses (2 hours) in length; and ending with an in-person session in June. Courses must be taken in order. Each course is a prerequisite for the next. For example, to take February’s course (Leading Instructional Supervision), you must have successfully completed January’s course (Leading a Problem of Practice).
- All courses must be completed within one year.
- Upon completion, you will receive 80 Act 45 hours.
- Courses count toward your Act 45-hour requirement, but you are responsible for monitoring your hours within your compliance period.
