Some PA school districts told to stop mandatory instruction, grading during closure

The Pennsylvania Department of Education on Thursday appears to have told some school districts to stop all instruction during a mandatory 10-day closure even if the districts are prepared for online instruction. The state’s directive was because students who would normally receive special assistance or are involved in an Individualized Education Program (IEP) could not get the same support through online assignments, Woodland Hills Superintendent James Harris said.
