Regan’s bill, which the Senate Education Committee passed on Monday, is modeled after a law that took effect on September 1 in Texas. It states that the cost of the EKG would be borne by the parent or guardian. Peyton’s mother, Julie, said the cost can range from $24 to $250, depending on where it is done.
