PA Principals Association Participates in PA Schools Work Rally Today at Capitol

The PA Principals Association participated in the PA Schools Work Press Conference today at the Capitol Rotunda. Education supporters gathered today to urge Governor Wolf to make a “bold investment” in education this budget. PA Schools Work called for an increase in basic, special and career and technical education ahead of the Governor’s budget address.
Paul M. Healey, Ph.D., PA Principals Association Executive Director, opened the rally with his remarks.
Other speakers included Carlisle student, Samantha Martin with a basic education message; Blake Emmanuel, Phoenixville parent and school board director, with a special education message; Kari King, PA Partnerships for Children, with a career and technical education message; and closing remarks by Rich Askey, PSEA president. Rep. Joseph Cirisi, D-Montgomery County, also made a few remarks, stating that education is a top priority this legislative session.
