Approximately 177,000 children across the state are eligible for publicly funded pre-kindergarten programs and nearly 64,000 are being served, according to a report issued by the Pennsylvania Partnerships for Children. Unfortunately, nearly 113,000 children are left out because of various issues, ranging from funding to a lack of program provider sites.
