  • Six (6) high school students

  • Two (2) middle level students (one to be selected by the middle level principal and one student to be selected by the middle level adviser committee member)

The Student Leadership Advisory Committee will support the NASSP strategic plan to engage student leaders in advocacy by creating a platform for student voice.  Committee members will select and implement a national initiative important to students and to schools.  All committee members will be selected by the NASSP student programs staff and will be subject to the approval of the NASSP Board of Directors.  Each Student Leadership Advisory Committee member will serve a two-year term beginning mid-November 2015 and ending on October 30, 2017.

Each state association may nominate one high school student and one principal (Middle Level or High School).  The adviser committee members will be selected through a national process with application sent directly to NASSP.
