James Orichosky Assumes Leadership of State Principals Association

Following the ‘passing of the gavel’ at the PA Principals Association’s SUMMIT24 for PA Educational Leaders on Tuesday, August 6, in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania, James E. Orichosky began his two-year term as President of the Pennsylvania Principals Association.


James E. Orichosky, Director of Elementary Education for Bald Eagle Area School District, Wingate, Pennsylvania, and Principal of Wingate and Mountaintop Elementary schools, is the 2024-2026 President of the Pennsylvania Principals Association. The Pennsylvania Principals Association is the only professional organization in Pennsylvania dedicated to the support and well-being of school administrators with a special emphasis on elementary, middle and high school principals. Mr. Orichosky has been a member of the association for 22 years. His two-year term as president began on August 6, 2024, following the PA Principals Association’s annual PA SUMMIT24 for Educational Leaders in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania.

Mr. Orichosky started his education career in the Bald Eagle Area School District, first as an elementary school teacher from 1993-2003 and then as head teacher from 1996-2003. Since 2003, he has served as principal of Wingate Elementary, and in 2023, he also became principal of Mountaintop Elementary. He began serving as the Bald Eagle Area School District’s director of elementary education in 2013. Additionally, he has worked as a student teaching supervisor since 2019 for Walden University.
