Please Join Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson for a K-12 Education Policy Summit at Lock Haven University on April 20: The Every Student Succeeds Act: Empowering Educators and School Leaders forthe 21st Century.
Congressman Glenn ‘GT’ Thompson, senior member of the House Education and the Workforce Committee, will host a panel-style listening session on the ongoing implementation of the Every Student Succeeds Act, or ESSA.
The ESSA was signed into law by President Obama in December 2015. The law replaced No Child Left Behindand brought significant changes to elementary and secondary education policy; namely, federal funding flexibility for school districts and a return of power over education to states, school districts, teachers, students and parents.
