The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) recently established a research priority to ascertain to what extent Pennsylvania educators are prepared to recognize and respond to students impacted by trauma or distress. To this end, The McDowell Institute – College of Education at Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania in collaboration with the Department of Educational and School Psychology at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, received an award from PDE to conduct research during the spring of 2021.
