PA Governor’s School for Global and International Studies
February 6, 2017
Please consider recommending the program to your high-achieving students: The Pennsylvania Governor’s School for Global and International Studies at the University of Pittsburgh.
There is strong support from Governor Tom Wolf and Secretary of Education Pedro Rivera for this program, which is designed for students to build cultural understanding, intellectual confidence and critical language proficiency. Like Governor’s Schools of the past, the program is free for all students.
Some of Pennsylvania’s brightest high schoolers will have the excitement of living like a Pitt student for four weeks during summer while learning about human rights and human security, global health, the environment, and inequality.
The application deadline is March 1, 2017.
The attached flyer and the Governor’s School website give you more details about programming and what students can expect.
