PA Principals Association congratulates Principal Vincent Mascia and Southmoreland Middle School on being chosen as a 2013 Met Life Foundation-NASSP Breakthrough School. Only 10 schools across the country were selected for this prestigious honor.

According to NASSP, the goal of the project is to identify, recognize and showcase middle level and high schools that serve large numbers of students living in poverty and are high achieving or dramatically improving student achievement.
