Thank you for your interest in joining or renewing your membership in the Pennsylvania Principals Association – the only organization dedicated solely to the support of elementary, middle level and secondary principals, assistant principals and educational leaders in Pennsylvania!
The PA Principals Association membership is open to all non-union building, district and state administrators (included in Act 93 agreements), i.e., department director / chair, curriculum director, technology coordinator, director of special education, director of guidance, school psychologist, health services director, etc.
By becoming a member of PA Principals Association, you’ll receive many benefits.

Membership Categories:
- ACTIVE ELEMENTARY: Open to practicing principals, assistant principals and educational leaders – building, district and state. Active members receive all benefits and services, including Legal Benefits Program ($2M individual professional liability coverage / up to $10K for job protection defense claims, based on continuous years of membership). Membership is non-transferable.
- ACTIVE SECONDARY: Open to practicing principals, assistant principals and educational leaders – building, district and state. Active members receive all benefits and services, including Legal Benefits Program ($2M individual professional liability coverage / up to $10K for job protection defense claims, based on continuous years of membership). Membership is non-transferable.
- ASPIRING: Teachers and students who are interested in becoming principals can begin the journey by taking full advantage of the Aspiring Principal membership option. Practicing principals and assistant principals are NOT eligible for Aspiring Principal membership. The Aspiring Principal category does not include legal benefits.
- RETIRED: Retired members. This is perfect for retirees who want to stay connected and give back. (There are several different retired member categories, click on Retired to view.)
A portion of your annual dues includes non-deductible lobbying costs which are 4.46% of your annual dues assessment. This portion of your dues is not deductible as a business expense. If you claim your PA Principals Association dues as a business expense on your taxes, you must deduct this 4.46%.
